Our Story

On a cold February half-term in Dorset, my family and I were determined to get out of the house. The kids had cabin fever, the weather wasn’t playing ball, and we needed something — anything — to burn off energy and save our sanity.

We aren’t always locals to the areas we explore, so like most parents, we turned to the internet. We searched for “things to do with kids near me” and were instantly overwhelmed. The top results were big-name attractions, national brands, and paid listings. After half an hour of scrolling, clicking, and backtracking, we still couldn’t find exactly what we wanted — somewhere suitable for the kids’ ages, open that day, reasonably priced, and not miles away.

Frustrated and with two restless children in the back seat, we decided to just drive and hope we stumbled across something.

By chance, we found a brilliant little farm park tucked away just a few minutes from where we were. It had animals to feed, outdoor play, a small café, and space for the kids to run free. It was perfect for that day — but it had barely shown up in search results.

That was the lightbulb moment.

Why isn’t there one clear, easy-to-use directory where parents can filter exactly what they need? Indoor or outdoor. Rainy day or sunshine. Toddler-friendly. Dog-friendly. Budget-friendly. Open today. Within 10 miles. No endless scrolling. No guesswork.

That’s when Dayze was born.

Dayze is designed to be the UK’s comprehensive family activity directory — built specifically for parents who need the right place, at the right time, without the stress. Whether it’s a soft play on a wet Tuesday, a beach on a sunny Saturday, a farm park in half-term, or a last-minute birthday idea — Dayze helps you find it fast.

We’re building it to be more than just a list of places. It’s a smarter way to explore the UK with children — powered by filters, local discovery, and eventually an app that sits in your pocket when you need inspiration most.

Because family time shouldn’t start with frustration.

It should start with Dayze.
